About this tool
Query DNS records for a domain — A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS and more — and see what resolvers return.
DNS Lookup is part of the TmpMailer SEO & Web set — free browser utilities that open instantly, need no account, and pair well with a temporary-email workflow when you just need a quick result.
Common use cases
- Checking MX records before migrating email.
- Verifying a TXT record for domain ownership.
- Confirming that a new A record has propagated.
Common questions
Why do different resolvers return different answers?
DNS is cached at many layers. Propagation can take minutes to hours depending on the previous TTL.
What does a missing record mean?
Either the record was never created or it has not propagated. Check the authoritative nameserver directly to isolate the cause.
Can I look up any record type?
Common types are covered. Obscure or deprecated types may need a command-line resolver such as dig.
