Privacy tools that pair well with temporary email
A small toolkit for cleaner signups
Disposable email solves one specific problem: handing over an address you do not want to keep. A few other simple tools cover the rest of the workflow.
1. A password manager
Every signup needs a unique password. A manager generates and stores them so you never reuse one across sites.
2. Two-factor authentication
For accounts you keep, turn on 2FA. It matters far more than the email address you registered with.
3. Email aliases
An alias forwards to your real inbox and can be switched off later. Use aliases for services you keep and disposable addresses for ones you are only testing.
4. Browser utilities
Small tools remove friction from the workflow: generate a strong password, hash a value, format a payload, or create a QR code without installing anything. The TMPMailer tools directory covers the common ones — password generator, hash generator, JSON formatter and more.
5. A clean inbox
Finally, unsubscribe from what you no longer read. The best spam filter is an address you never gave out in the first place.
None of these is complicated. Together they turn a messy signup habit into a controlled one.
