Marvel Rivals accounts and the email behind them
Marvel Rivals is a free team shooter built by NetEase, and your progress lives on a NetEase account rather than on the console or Steam profile alone. That account stores your heroes, skins, battle pass progress and match history. Signup accepts an email, then asks you to verify it before linking a platform.
Because the game is free and heavily promoted, a disposable inbox is handy for a test account, a second region or a quick look at a new season without adding another permanent mailbox to your life.
Step by step: verifying a Marvel Rivals account
- Create an address in TmpMailer and copy it.
- Open the NetEase signup for Marvel Rivals and paste the address with a password.
- Return to the inbox tab and wait for the verification code or link.
- Complete verification, then link Steam, PlayStation Network or Xbox from the account page.
- Launch the game and confirm your region and platform link before buying anything.
What the temporary inbox cannot do
NetEase ties purchases, receipts, security codes and recovery to the registered email. Skins and battle pass tiers stay on the account, but if the inbox expires you cannot reset the password or prove ownership to support. For anything you pay for, register with a mailbox you will still control next year.
Some regions also require a phone number or an additional verification step before purchases or ranked play. A temporary email handles the email confirmation only and does not bypass those checks.
Cross-play and platform links
Marvel Rivals supports cross-play, but your NetEase account is the piece that keeps progression consistent when you switch between PC and console. Link every platform you actually use from the account page before you start earning rewards. Linking later usually works, but cosmetic entitlements and platform-specific bonuses do not always transfer, and support cannot merge two separate NetEase accounts that were created by mistake.
Common problems
- The verification message is missing: refresh the inbox after thirty seconds and confirm the address. New season launches can delay mail.
- The code is rejected: request a fresh code and use it immediately.
- Progress is missing on another device: the platform account is not linked, or a different NetEase account is signed in.
- High ping or region errors: the account region does not match your platform region; check before investing time.
Privacy and fair use
Using a separate inbox for a test account is a legitimate privacy choice. It is not a way to evade a ban, smurf, or create accounts in bulk against NetEase's terms. Enforcement follows the account and the hardware, so a new address does not reset a suspension.
Choosing the right mailbox
For a quick test or a second account, TmpMailer is enough. For your main account with skins, the battle pass and friends, use a permanent address and enable any available two-factor protection. That keeps recovery simple when a login fails months later.
