How OTTO registration works
OTTO accounts are created with an email address and a password. The address receives the confirmation, order and shipping updates, and invoices. Invoices and returns are what make the email part of the purchase rather than a disposable signup detail.
When a temporary address makes sense
A disposable inbox is useful for comparing prices, checking delivery times, or looking at how registration works. It keeps newsletters and promotions out of your main mailbox without committing you to a long-term account.
When you need a permanent address
Orders, invoices, returns and customer service all run through the address on file. If the inbox disappears, you lose the receipts and return information. Use a permanent mailbox for purchases and keep order confirmations until the return window closes.
Step by step
- Generate a TmpMailer address and enter it in the OTTO form.
- Open the confirmation message and finish the account.
- Check prices and delivery times.
- Before ordering, change the email in account settings.
- Keep the invoice and order confirmation.
Notes for the German market
OTTO is aimed at German customers, and prices, delivery times and payment methods can change. Check the details in your account before buying and review the return conditions for each item.
TmpMailer is an independent privacy tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OTTO. Service names are used only to describe the signup flow.
