Can I paste a specific HEX value?

Yes. Enter it directly to see the equivalent RGB and HSL values.

How do I check contrast?

Compare the relative luminance of the text and background; aim for at least 4.5:1 for body text.

Does the picker support alpha?

It shows solid colours. Add alpha in CSS with rgba() or eight-digit HEX when needed.
